Kilcommon / Rearcross travelled to the Nenagh Celtic venue on Saturday morning for what was to be a very competitive league encounter. Great free kicks were the dominant feature of the game. Nenagh Celtic made their intentions clear early on when they hit the cross bar from a free kick after 15 minutes. It was the visiting side who broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when Colm Kennedy's long range free kick went all the way to hit the back of Celtic's net making it 1-0. 2 minutes later a free kick from Nenagh Celtic was met with a glancing header which found the net leaving the sides level at the break. The second half was only 3 minutes old when another free kick taken by the home side was met by a perfectly placed header giving the home side the lead. Nenagh Celtic now sensed victory and piled on the pressure on the Kilcommon / Rearcross defence which resulted in the home side extending their lead in the 38th minute of the game with a goal scored from close range. With just minutes remaining, the home side made it 4-1 from another close range effort.
